Tony Kart Rotax Max

Hi – thought I’d write everything out, so I don’t miss anything. For some background, I started racing karts in 1997 and was full time karting until moving to cars in 2011. So when I decided to get a Rotax to play with I was pretty picky!

The kart is a 2016 Tony Kart, which I got in January last year. I stripped it right back to the frame and replaced everything that was needed. This included:

  • All bearings in the front hubs and rear axle.
  • Brake pads, magnets, screws, pistons, seals, retaining pin and locking bush
  • Gaskets in the carb
  • Fuel pipes all round
  • Seat washers and spacer rubbers
  • Floor tray fixings
  • Track rod ends
  • Replaced the gear oil in the engine
  • Spark plugs
  • Battery
  • Fuel pump kit
  • Rear bumper bolts
  • Side pod clips
  • HT lead
  • Some cool 3D printed bits to cover the carb etc

Also got myself :

  • Range of jets
  • Couple of sprockets
  • O-ring chains
  • Various fluids and chain lube

You can see various photos on my Instagram and the latest story highlight is all the progress posts I made:

I’ve only taken it out 2 or 3 times in all, so it’s good to go. It has always run chassis protectors and the frame is in great condition.

I had it all out in the garden this afternoon and the spares package includes the below. I didn’t get a chance to clean it all up but can do that at some point. Spares:

  • Additional seat
  • Additional full set of plastics, with all chrome bars
  • Tyre bead breaker
  • 2x additional sets of slicks on rims (one wheel is off a rim but I have spare front and rear rims too)
  • 1x set wets not on rims
  • 2x tyre bags
  • Radiator that is a bit bent up but could get you out of trouble
  • Steering wheel
  • Chain lube x2
  • Brakes bits and bobs
  • Additional fuel pipe
  • Clutch sprocket
  • 86 tooth sprocket (for Bayford / Buckmore, it has 70 on it for Lydd)
  • 2x spare chains (normal)
  • 1x 112 link O-ring chain (106 O-ring on for Lydd)
  • Various 3D printed caps for the carb, exhaust, engine etc
  • Spark plug
  • Exhaust sealant
  • Various bolts and washers
  • Spare rear bumper bolt kit
  • 2x small seat stays
  • Various seat kit washers, spacers, bolts and nuts
  • 2 stroke oil
  • 3x sprocket protectors
  • More seat padding
  • Plus the trolley is included too

I’m  planning to advertise it at £2000. I’m pretty confident it’s a good package. All in all when I counted it up the kart owes me quite a bit over £2000!
